A superbly executed fashion film, that works with the new obsession of image sharing, to extend the value of the film and make it instantly shareable.

On Hold by AB/CD/CD
Only just found this example of really awesome video loops by one of my favourite collectives, AB/CD/CD. It takes a moment to even see that they are loops, animating the camera in post has helped a lot I think. Interactive video depends a lot on looping this and ‘Tango’ (1980) by Zbigniew Rybszynski show us the level we need to take it to.
Cosmopolis Trailer - David Cronenberg
They don’t come around very often, so always excited when a Cronenberg production is on the horizon. This looks a perfect cerebrum destroyer of his style. Big anticipation!
Antony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock
Holy Crap this gets me excited. They’ve really done quite an amazing job with transforming Hopkins but no idea what the script could be like. I’d be happy if it was just the big man talking away with his ingenious mind. If you’re are a Hitchcock fan and haven’t heard them before, there are recordings of Truffaut interviewing Hitchcock on soundcloud that you must check out, they really reveal how much thought went into every shot he ever made and how we should be doing the same! http://soundcloud.com/filmdetail/sets/the-hitchock-truffaut-tapes/
Anne Lindberg - Thread Installations
Just came across this on ffffound and was enraptured by the ethereal nature of these thread sculptures. Just from the photos, it makes you distrust your own eyes that these are physical sculptures and not some post effect.
Most clicked on Hotels - Darío Villanueva
So I’ve been trying to popularize R at my workplace, and to showcase the graphical capabilities of the software, I collected the most clicked on hotel ads that my employer posts on the different search engines and plotted them on a map using R and GGPlot2. The result, pixely goodness..
Journey to the End of Coal (2008)
Only just discovered these guys, really interesting stuff. They are actively dedicated to experimenting with online interactive documentary film. Look forward to seeing what they will produce next.
Efteling - Winter Projections
Great to see some real narrative (if a little cheesey) put into projection mapping that isn’t either to abstract or product centred.
Nobuhiro Nakanishi - Layered Landscapes
Earth | Time Lapse View from Space | Fly Over | Nasa, ISS
